Dispatcher
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements |
| |
Work experience or equivalency of at least 3-5 years
of dispatching or related field in trucking
industry. |
| |
Ability to read,write, speak and comprehend the
English language. |
| |
Ability to communicate effectively with drivers,
customers, and dispatchers to assure accurate,
timely delivery of loads. |
| |
Ability to deal with employees and co-workers to
ensure work loads are evenly distributed and
completed within specified time frame. |
| |
Ability to use a computer. |
| |
Ability to work overtime as required. |
| Essential Functions |
| |
Assign loads in accordance with the availibility of
drivers, destination of loads, driver experience and
qualifications, to assure compliance with company
policy and all DOT and safety
regulations. |
| |
Work directly with customers to accept and fill
orders. |
| |
Take off-hour calls as needed in order to resolve
and service issues. |
| |
Take orders from customers and document on Bulkmatic
order form, detailing all necessary information
including special requirements, equipment needs,
range of pick-up/delivery times, etc. |
| |
Prepare profile in new movement or not on tariff
master. |
| |
Maintain daily dispatch sheet:Double-check
driver assignments for each load, document
driver start and empty times, document ETAs,
notfication of dispatch assignment, available
hours, tractor and trailer assignment, customer
order information , computer input, etc. |
| |
Print freight bills, copy directions, document
special instructions, and assure necessary
equipment, hoses, fittings are in place for the
driver at start time for drivers. |

Support the company policies and procedures. |
| |
