Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements |
| |
Qualified to drive a tractor trailer, as evidenced
by a current, valid class A CDL for intrastate
commerce work. |
| |
Ability to transload product from one container to
another avoiding spills and contaminations. |
| |
Maintain all paperwork accurately which requires
verifying numbers and identification of load to
assure correct load is being transferred or loaded. |
| |
Report discrepancies or problems to supervisors as
noted. |
| |
Perform work in a safe manner. |
| |
Must be able to comply with company regulations
regarding personal grooming, wearing of a uniform,
and wearing personal safety gear and apparel. |
| |
Ability to follow both written and verbal
instructions, and to satisfactorily communicate with
other employees and customers. |
| |
Ability to pass a DOT physical and to do physical
type work, at the medium level, which requires
lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to pass a
drug screen. |
| General Qualifications |
| |
Heights - Is comfortable climbing up ladders and on
top of tankers and or rail cars. |
| |
Lifting and carrying - hoses up to 50 lbs. |
| |
Pushing and pulling - full strength horizontally to
hook and unhook trailer |
| |
Bending/crouching - repeatedly each day |
| |
Walking/standing up to 500 feet several times a
day/3 to 4 hours on occasion |
| |
Manual Dexterity - operation of loading
controls, tools |
| |
Climbing - in and out of tractor, and on top of
trailer. |
| |
Standing - 3 to 4 hours on occasion |
| |
Math - able to do and understand simple math |
| |
English - able to read, write and understand the
English language |
| |
Environment - Work at least 40 hours/week,
sometimes with fluctuating hours and days of the
week as needed. Required to work outdoors
during inclement weather. |
| |
Supervision - ability to work on own and be
self-motivated in completing job assignments. |
