Bulkmatic Transport Transportation Services
Quality Driven Bulk Trucking
As one of North America's premier bulk transportation
companies, and the US's largest dry bulk carrier, we can
handle your bulk trucking needs. Our network of
terminals provides us with a superior ability to service our
customers when demand peaks, and in emergencies. Our
terminal network also enables us to provide our customers
with individualized attention while handling a wide variety
of products. Bulkmatic can handle your needs.
Training
Our drivers do more than steer a truck. They
safely operate pneumatic equipment, load from railcars,
evacuate silos, and build relationships with receivers
and customers. All new drivers spend a week at
Bulkmatic University in Griffith, IN. BU classes
teach new hires the basic principles of operating
pneumatic equipment, Smith System safe driving
techniques, and Bulkmatic procedures. New drivers
also ride with a local driver trainer for an additional
2 weeks before delivering loads for our customers.
Non-drivers also go through extensive training.
Loaders, Tank Washers, and Mechanics receive on the job
training with a certified Bulkmatic trainer. Training
for non-drivers typically lasts for 2 weeks.
Our well-trained, safe, friendly employees provide
immeasurable value to Bulkmatic and our customers.
Safety
Bulkmatic consistently ranks as one of the safest
carriers in the US. Safety is not a slogan at
Bulkmatic, it factors into every decision we make. No
load is worth someone's life.
Continuous safety training is integral to Bulkmatic's
success. Every driver is trained on the Smith System
safe driving techniques, and work place safety principles.
Safety meetings are held regularly at each terminal, and
cover a wide variety of safety topics.
We are proud to be North America's first carrier to
install the Total Restraint Access Module (TRAM) on our
trailers. The TRAM is a fall prevention device mounted
to the top of trailers. Find out more about the
TRAM
System.
