Bulkmatic Transport Company, one of the largest dry bulk carriers in the U.S., is currently hiring the best Class A CDL licensed company truck drivers as well as owner operators.  Bulkmatic has truck driving jobs available at over 45 hiring locations throughout the United States. We are hiring for local, regional and OTR truck driving jobs.  

Most of our loads originate at our terminals and deliver locally or regionally. Some over the road trucking jobs are available in various locations.  Our goal is to hire highly qualified and safe drivers who will represent our company in a professional manner.

Overall Purpose

Safely drive a conventional tractor throughout the United States and Canada, as required, based on the availability of freight and hours available according to the hours of service regulations, Part 395, of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.  In addition to driving, you will be required to load and unload both pneumatic trailers and railcars, hook and unhook from trailers and railcars;  and perform daily inspections of equipment. You must maintain all required paperwork including logbook, delivery and pay sheets and work with on-board QualComm units.

In order to qualify for a truck driving job at Bulkmatic you must meet the following hiring criteria:

	Minimum age is 23 years old.
	Pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
	You must have a valid CDL Class A license in the State that you reside in. If you have just moved to a new state you will have 30 days to change over your license.
	2 Years driving experience required up to age 25 then 1-year experience is required. Driving experience must be verifiable within the last 5 years. Note: We will consider military driving experience.
	No more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years.
	No more than 1 preventable accident within the last 3 years
	Must be able to verify work history for 10 years.
	No DUI's within the past 5 years.  No alcohol or drug related offenses within the past 5 years.

After employment, all Bulkmatic drivers must adhere to the above standards or driving privileges will be suspended.  Accidents are subject to the Accident point system.  Bulkmatic reserves the right to go beyond these standards if public safety is a threatened.

Essential Functions

	Ability to drive for as many as 11 hours while transporting product, to do pre-trip and post-trip inspections of unit as required.
	Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a tractor-trailer.
	Must be able to report for dispatch at time specified and to maintain contact with dispatch offices as required.
	Must be able to comply with company regulations regarding personal grooming, wear a uniform, wear required safety appearal, etc.
	Must be able to perform the following activities: 1.  Lifting - hoses up to 50 lbs. 2.  Carrying - hoses up to 50 lbs. 3.  Climbing - in and out of tractor, on top of trailer and on top of railcars. 4.  Pushing - full strength horizontally to hook and unhook trailer 5.  Pulling - full strength horizontally. 6.  Bending - repeatedly. 7.  Crouching - 15 minutes each day. 8.  Walking - up to 500 feet several times a day. 9.  Standing - 3 to 4 hours on occasion. 10. Sitting - up to 11 hours daily. 11. Manual Dexterity - operation of truck controls, Qualcomm keyboard. 12. Math - able to do and understand simple math (addition and subtraction). 13. English - able to read, write and understand the English language.

Marginal Functions

	Attend safety meetings and quality meetings and participate in group discussions to offer suggestions.
	Maintain the cleanliness of the inside of the cab and keep neat and orderly.
	Perform other duties as assigned by terminal leader.

Environment

	Work flexible work schedules as needed including evenings and weekends.
	Ability to handle stressful situations.
	Drive during all types of weather.  Including rain, snow, heat and sleet in order to make delivery and pickups on time.
