Bulkmatic Opens New Transportation Operations Planning Center

 

State of the art facility offers improved responsiveness to customer and driver needs

 

Griffith, Ind. (Nov 1, 2019)— Bulkmatic LLC., an award-winning dry bulk carrier, announces the completion of its Transportation Operations Center in a newly designed facility at its corporate office in Griffith, Ind.  The new location allows for the co-location of our driver operations planning and customer logistics services groups in a single centralized location.  Previously, the operations planning function was done in various regional offices and customer logistics services was done in our corporate headquarters.  The newly centralized location of these two important groups will allow them to work together in real-time to provide a better experience for both customers and drivers.

            This collaboration will improve the quality and timeliness of our customer communications and it will increase our capacity to adjust operations to support the variability of our customers’ transportation needs. It will enable multiple regions and terminals to work together seamlessly to find solutions to complex logistical challenges and improve the ability to better support volume fluctuations including new business opportunities.
