KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bulkmatic, LLC. announced the opening of a bulk transloading railyard in Kansas City, MO. The location, served by the Kansas City Southern Railway, offers shippers a strategically located central US location.
Customers in the Kansas City area with bulk trucking and rail transload needs will now be able to experience Bulkmatic’s industry leading technology, security, safety and customer service. The facility has storage and transload capacity for over 100 railcars and is capable of handling all bulk commodities.
“We are excited to expand our railyard network to include the Kansas City market.” said Chris Kravas, president Bulkmatic US, “The new location will allow us to offer state of the art transload and bulk trucking services to shippers of plastics, edibles, chemical and mineral products.”
Bulkmatic’s BRATS Inventory Management and STARS barcode scanning systems are in place and operational at the new facility. These proprietary systems provide real-time visibility to railcar inventories and effectively eliminate the possibility of a cross product contamination.
