Job Description: The AVP, Business Development position has overall responsibility of seeking and developing relationships that lead to long-term Bulkmatic Solutions customers that grow annually with improved margins. Acquisition of new logos for Bulkmatic is an essential function. AVP Business Development is expected to help develop and meet sales targets for their areas of responsibility. All interactions with customers and staff will represent the company professionally.
The role reports directly to the EVP, Marketing and Sales.

Job Requirements:
Primary Job Duties and Expectations[1]: - Sales Responsibilities:
- Identify new targets for Bulkmatic services utilizing networking, assigned tools and the business development funnel
- Work assigned prospects to identify opportunities to service
- Develop and maintain robust pipeline
- On board new customers from prospects and other channels
- Volume and revenue growth from assigned customers
- Managing bids and bid strategy with pricing
- Nurture assigned customers and quote new business opportunities including single lanes
- Present rate quotes as a value-added proposal
- Build, execute Target Account strategies for top opportunities
- Contract administration
- Network industry and targeted functions
- Rate increases for assigned accounts, as needed
- Ensuring Salesforce CRM is updated timely and accurately according to Bulkmatic standards
- Account Management Responsibilities:
- Customer Experience Steward/Owner - Voice of the customer inside Bulkmatic
- Owner of coordinating company responses to:
- Quality issues
- Audit issues
- Claims
- Service Issues
- Ownership for billing issues and collections
- Owner of getting set up with customer systems and requirements
- Monitor and address issues with Key Performance Indicators
- Developing a nurturing growth plan and establishing long term customer base for Bulkmatic. Build strategy to turn accounts over to Account Manager & Sales, in time
Success Metrics -
- New customers on boarded and starting to generate revenue
- Volume and revenue growth in asset and brokerage solutions
- Regular documented meetings, calls and QBR's in CRM
Qualifications and Requirements: - Age and Experience:
- Minimum age - 18 years (in compliance with state/federal labor regulations).
- Must have completed high school or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Must have at least four years of sales or meaningful business development experience.
- Must have a verifiable work history.
- Knowledge and Skills: To be considered qualified, an AVP of Business Development and Sales MUST be an excellent communicator, a good listener, and a proactive problem-solver. Highly desired capabilities include (but are not limited to):
- Demonstrate proficiency with basic computer programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Power BI, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo and CRM.
- Demonstrated reputation for maintaining positive relationships.
- Meeting deadlines consistently and effective follow-up.
- Ability to persistently elevate issues and participate in resolving problems.
- Demonstrated history of being a strong team player and solving problems with a team.
- Being an effective communicator (written and verbal).
- Have and maintain a valid drivers license
- Physical Requirements[2]

- May be required to perform physical work on occasion and/or for extended periods of time, including sitting/computer work, walking/standing, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, etc.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate any controls and or equipment, including standard office electronics.
- Must be able to travel as necessary via automobile or air.
