Job Description: Bulkmatic is currently hiring a Terminal Manager for our Summit/ Argo, IL location. This position is responsible for all day-to-day operational aspects of the Summit/ Argo location. You will be responsible for leading a team to meet operational targets while maintaining the highest standards in safety and quality.

This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Director..

Job Requirements: Primary Job Duties:
  • Manage the day to day operations of the facilities
    • Responsible for work schedules and workload assignments
    • Address customer related challenges
    • Finds logical, safe and efficient solutions to assist in the growth of the operation
  • Oversee terminal employees
    • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, disciplining and supervising direct reports including Loaders, Jockeys and Drivers
    • Ensure terminal practices, policies and procedures are understood and executed
  • Communicate and coordinate with Chicagoland Operations team
    • Work with Regional Manager to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer expectations and company standards.
  • Oversee employee safety, satisfaction and performance
    • Ensure compliance with all safety related requirements
    • Documentation of performance discrepancies
    • Resolving and/or elevating employee concerns as appropriate
    • Promote clean and safe working conditions
  • Complete required data elements
    • Analyze operations data and reports to promote terminal efficiency
    • Communicate and collaborate with other company terminals and departments
  • Represent the company and carry out duties in a professional manner
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of Supervisory Experience

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must be able to comprehend and comply with policies and comprehend instructions.
  • Must have excellent computer and typing skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees and customers both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to perform basic math
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to move vehicles from time to time.
  • Must be motivated and able to work independently to complete assignments.
Physical Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to wear and use required safety equipment.
  • May be required to perform physical work on occasion and/or for extended periods of time, including: walking/standing, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, climbing, etc.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate any controls and or equipment.
  • May be required to climb trailers if necessary and be comfortable with heights.
  • Must be able to perform required tasks outside in various weather conditions.
